Terms to know:

Enrolled student is someone signed up for a 5 – 6 week class
Open Studio is the 2 hours of practice time, this time can be used to trim or throw, there is not typically an instructor to help, so please be comfortable being alone in the studio before using this time. It is recommended you schedule this time online to ensure you don’t make an unnecessary trip, occasionally we have private groups that come in during open studio hours.
Please make sure you have been taught proper glazing techniques before you glaze in open studio.
Pottery Floater is a person who comes in during open slots in classes, when the time fits their schedule, they are not enrolled in a class, therefore the open studio is not free time, you can use open studio hours for $15/hr. A pottery floater is also required to purchase their clay (because you are using it in the studio we will charge the enrolled student price)
Drop in is someone who comes for a trial pottery class
Trial Pottery Class is a 1 time class lasting 2 hours. It can be used to test it out and see if pottery is for you, use it as a unique date, or experience gift, or for private groups of 4 or more.
Clay for enrolled students is $25 and is for students taking 4-6 week classes or who are active pottery floaters.
Clay for outside use is clay purchased by people, not actively enrolled in classes, that want to take the clay and work at home. The cost is $40 and includes bisque firing and a glaze fire (people are able to use our glazes but have to pay the $15/hr studio fee to do the glazing. If not using our glazes, see someone about our rules about outside glazes)
White clay is a stoneware clay body that gives a solid beige colored clay when fired.
Brown clay is a stoneware clay body that gets brown speckles after glazing. These speckles will show up with regular glazes and underglazes.
Reclaimed Clay is clay that has been recycled with a mix of our white and brown clay. There will be speckles similar to the brown clay.

Those taking a trial class are filling an empty spot in an active class.
Trials are limited to 2
Before you leave you will pick a glaze. The instructor will trim and glaze your pieces unless you decide to sign up for a class.

Private groups available by request

Please note: Pieces typically take 4 - 6 weeks to be ready for pick up. You will receive a text message to the phone number provided during the check out process
(please add a cell phone number in your booking).
